my Solitary expedition..

Assalamu'alaikum peeps,
I made an expedition yesterday, and as the title goes, yup i made it alone..What started as a cycling trip to Carlton Gardens to feed the ducks turned into a long trip to South Melbourne Beach (about 4 kms from the city). How did that come up eh?

At first i wanted to just read a book after feeding the ducks, but as i was alone, it felt so awkward. So i decided to cycle to the city, see what's going on there..it was a wonderful feeling to be cycling again (stopped a while when Mum was here)..altho' i had to bear with the smell of horse droppings on Swanston St (that made me cringe for a moment), the breeze sweeping thru' made the journey totally wonderful.

There was some sort of concert at Federation Square, but seeing the word GA-something (could it be gay?? a gay gathering?) on a big post is enough to make me cycle away from that place,,No way am i going to be seen wandering around that sorta celebration..not that i wanted to stop in the first place anyway..
So i went on cycling pass Yarra river onto St Kilda rd..i actually didn't know where i was going.."should i just stop and turn..should i go on cycling to wherever the road takes me?" hmm i decided to follow the tram tracks to South Melbourne Beach. should be a good challenge for me..heheh

After pushing myself up and down hills, pass numerous parks and gardens..for about half an hour, the sight of the beach ahead of me with the glaring sun about to set caught me mesmerized..Wow..I finally made it!

I sat at the beach enjoying the beautiful sight of the waves rolling from the sea, with a backdrop of ships making their way through the boundless ocean..perfectly Beautiful..Subhanallah..
Fresh ocean breeze filled my lungs, such clean air hard to find even in Malaysia..I digged my fingers into the sand i was sitting on, it felt warm, and to my surprise, the deeper i dug, the warmer it felt. I thought,,this is how a relationship should be..the deeper you get to know someone, the more you share with that person, the warmer the relationship should be..(don't get me wrong.. i mean with friends, family..) Absorbing that moment alone, i felt a sense of clear-headedness, a sense of strength in my faith to Allah..for witnessing His great creations is to see His greatness in itself.

I started the journey back home by cycling to Port Melbourne, about 1 km from there. The sun was setting while i cycled, beautiful, beautiful! what more can i say..Then i found a bicycle trail leading to the city..1.5 km to Southbank, it said. Wonderful, just what i needed.

A bit spooky to ride alone along the trail cos it was getting dark, reminded me of murder mysteries solved when a body is found in a park somewhere..(ahaha there goes my spooky side, sorry)..but i managed to reach the city after about 15 minutes..a tram driver rang his bell when he saw me cycling pass his tram at the tram end-terminal at Southbank. Was he trying to say "hi" or was he trying to say "watcha doin 'ere cyclin alone from the middle of nowhere at night like this?!?!!" Hahaha maybe he just wanted to make sure i was human (sorry, blame my spooky side again) :)

Reached home after about an hour more of cycling from there..got myself totally exhausted indeed! But it was not the less exciting at all..Hmm..i should try this again..
Moon asked me why i went on this funny expedition of mine..in which i replied "Bosan la.."..am i really that bored? Maybe, but boredom can turn out to be exciting if u know how to utilize it..

~Alhamdulillah~
