iSn't it IroNic??
Assalamualaikum ppl!
Something odd happened last night to me..something that i didn't expect. I was asked to attend a dinner at Monash Uni with the coming juniors next week, the night before our mid-sem exam. that's because the person invited previously couldn't go, wants to study probably..
Of course at first i thought it was a really big deal..i mean, i havent been studying that well for it..what would happen to all the hours i might be losing from attending it? Was a tough internal conflict indeed..but then i thot..if im not going, who else would? U know how u sometimes assume that somebody else is going to fulfil that responsibility, when in fact if everyone thinks the same way, nothing would actually move around here. Anyways, it's good for the juniors to meet and acquaint with someone from my Uni cause some of them are coming to Melb Uni next year. Thus, my conscious rational side decided that i should go, if nothing prohibiting comes my way. regarding my studies, insyaAllah i'll make up to it befroe hand..anyways, like what's said in Al-Baqarah (282)- "Wattaqullah Wa'alikumullah"- "Dan bertakwalah kpd Allah, Allah mengajar kamu"(sorry don't have the English translation now)..but basically just believing in that is enough to be confident that the outcome of the effort u put into studying will eventually be determined by Allah alone.
However, surprisingly, that person invited previously suddenly decided to change her mind about not going...late last night, just like a few hours after i made my decision. I don't need to go then..they only need one more person to attend..how Ironic..someone told me that insyaAllah i will be rewarded for both my willingness to sacrifice my invaluable time and wanting to study for the exam. Just for deciding to go in the first place,, but not having to attend in the end,, actually may reap me double benefits-including being able to study the night before the exam as well!!
How odd...how funny u'd encounter with a really enlightening experience in the most unexpected way. but always be sincere- every single thing u do only for Allah n His Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)...
Syukran 'ala mujaahadatikum Lilqira'aati haza blog! :) :) :)
(hehee try figuring that out!)
