The Forenoon...
Tho' this surah was revelated for Rasulullah (pbuh) during times of difficulty in his da'wah, it means the same for all of us, no matter what problems or challenges we're facing...never fret cos Allah is always with you...i was a bit upset last Friday, even cried a bit,,, maybe i was shocked, maybe i wasn't strong enough, maybe i felt lost, maybe i was just emotional, but whatever it was, i know now that i wouldn't have known how strong or weak i am if not for Allah's tests...
By the forenoon (after sunrise).
By the night when it darkens (and stands still).
Your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you nor hates you.
And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world).
And verily, your Lord will give you (all good) so that you shall be well-pleased.
Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge?
And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and prophethood) and guided you?
And He found you poor and made you rich (self-sufficient with self-contentment)?
Therefore treat not the orphan with oppression.
And repulse not the beggar.
And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (the Prophethood and all other Graces).
(Ad-Duhaa-surah 93)
Besides showing just how Gracious and Merciful Allah is, this surah also reminds us of the many good things He has given us, though we often take most of them for granted. Thus, we should be grateful and feel content with whatever we have in this life...for this life is only a 'stop-over' on our journey to the Hereafter...make the best of our not-so-long lives eh? Just imagine if the exam countdown is our own life's countdown?? would you still be the same? would things start to change?
~Wallahu'alam~
